Annecy is a city in the Alps located in the southeast of France. This is where Lake Annecy flows into the Thiou. It is famous for its old town with its cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel-colored houses. Overlooking the city, the medieval Annecy Castle, former residence of the Counts of Geneva, houses a museum offering regional objects, such as Alpine furniture or religious works, as well as a natural history exhibition.
