This is a Psilorhinus morio bird species, Corvidae family. Common name: brown jay. It is found in south Mexico and Central American Gulf slope. Not found in El Salvador. They are very noisy when they sing. They are rather indiscriminate feeders.Brown jays vary in plumage geographically: there are two main groups. Northern birds are almost completely dark brown, with lighter brown on the underparts. Southern birds are white-bellied and have bright white tips to the outer tail feathers. Observed at Cerro Cahuí Protected Biotope, Petén department, Guatemala.
