This photo was taken in summer 2012 when I was in a visit to my home town Khanyounis in the south of Gaza strip, Palestine. prickly fig is very nice fruit in Gaza and it is also a summer fruit, people in Gaza call it Sabbr which mean patience , the name came from the harsh environment the this plant grow in as it grows in a very hot and dry areas so it could grow with very little water and in the hot areas and in the summer season it gives one of the best fruits in the summer ! and also people in used to use this plant as a borders and walls for their land so every one surround his land with this type of plant to keep his land and his farms.
