With its mid-engine layout and its sixteen-cylinder compressor engine, Porsche set new technical standards of excellence. Driven by motor racing legends such as Hans Stuck, Bernd Rosemeyer and Achille Varzi, the Auto Union Pracing car achieved no fewer than 30 Grand Prix victories and 15 world records between 1934 and 1937
