The Poortersloge, built 1395 - 1417, was the assembly hall for the citizens of Bruges and wealthy merchants. It is located at Jan van Eyck square, where the boats coming from Damme arrived. Since 1912 it is hosting the National and Provincial State Archives of Belgium.
