Polar bears live mainly in the Arctic Circle and can be found in parts of Russia, Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Norway. They are the largest land predator in the Arctic and have an impressive white coat that helps them blend in with their snowy surroundings. They have a very thick layer of fur, along with an insulating layer of blubber, that helps keep them warm in such cold temperatures. Polar bears mainly feed on seals and other marine mammals, but they also eat fish, birds, and other small animals. Their paws have a thick, rough pad that helps them to walk on the slippery sea ice.
