PingXingGuan Battle Victory Memorial Hall is located in Lingqiu County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, China. The PingXingGuan Battle Victory means that on September 25, 1937, the Eighth Route Army of the Communist Party of China was near PingXingGuan in Lingqiu County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, in order to cooperate with the friendly forces in the second theater to block the Japanese offensive. Commanded by the 115 division commander Lin Biao and the deputy commander Nie Rongzhen, they gave full play to the specialties of melee and mountain warfare. For the first time, they concentrated on a successful ambush battle against the Japanese army. This is the first victory for the Chinese army to fight against Japan since the War of Resistance Against Japan.
