Öndvegissúlur Sigurjón Ólafsson. Located at Höfða Around 1970, the City of ReykjavÃk commissioned Sigurjón Ólafsson to make a stand that could be installed at Höfða, the city council`s reception house at Fjörutún. The artist then had a close partnership with Gunnar Ferdinandsson, a blacksmith, and worked on the work with his help. The project`s cover is made of custom-made copper plates mounted on a strong steel frame.
