In the fall and spring of 2013/14 Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix hosted an exhibition of glass artist Dale Chihuly. The spots for his sculptures and installations were carefully selected to offer new perceptions of this desert environment. The Sapphire Star was placed near the entrance into a prickly pear landscape. Here, obviously is the illuminated version of this sculpture. The day-time version is also in my portfolio.
