The Stone Lake Pertusillo is an artificial lake located in the municipalities of Grumento Nova, Montemurro and Buckthorn. The lake was built between 1957 and 1962, a barrage of the Agri River, with funds from the Cassa del Mezzogiorno, which granted to the entity for the development of irrigation and land transformation in Apulia and Lucania execution works.
