Sun Parakeet is a member of the family Psittatidae in the order Parrotiformes of the phylum Chordates. Sun Parakeets weigh 100 to 300 grams and are about 30 centimeters in length. Most of their bodies are covered in yellow feathers, with only the tail feathers covering the area being green The body is slender, with a large head and a black beak. The eyes are dark brown, with a white skin around the periphery, and there are also a pair of gray feet.Sun Parakeet is mainly distributed in the northeast of South America.
