Pictured is the parish Church of Saint George in the central square of Varenna on Lake Como in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy. The church was built from 1250 to 1313. It's ancient Romanesque bell tower was replaced with an impressive clock and bell tower in 1653. The facade has a rose window and a faded painting of Saint Cristopher.
