Anras Castle was constructed in the 13th century as summer residence for the bishops of Bressanone. The ancient parish church of Anras is, as part of the original parish church, accessible via the castle and dates back to the period of 500 AD. Impressive are the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque frescoes laid open in the course of restoration works some years ago.
