Passage des Panoramas is one of the beautiful glass-covered passages built to protect wealthy shoppers from the rain in Paris, France. Built in 1799, it is the oldest of such passageways and the first public place lit by gaslight in 1817. Many shops and restaurants are located in the passage, frequented by locals and tourists.
