In front of the Parador de Mazagón, on the Asperillo fossil dune system, there is a 400-year-old stone pine that, due to its uniqueness, was declared a Natural Monument in 2003.nnIts main attraction is its stunted appearance, since its crown has developed more in width than in height, and its branches twist almost at ground level.nnIts dimensions are really impressive: 12 meters high only 0.50 m of trunk, and 23.50 meters in diameter of the crown, which occupies an area of almost 425 m2.
