This bat was photographed in Utah during a study conducted by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. While being removed from the capture net the bat fell in the pond where the net had been setup. Bats can swim but it was captured again, in the water and processed. Wet bats can't fly so the biologist placed it on top of this fence post to dry. Once dry it flew off again.
