Built during World War II, the Air Cobra is unique in that it has a rear mounted engine with a driveshaft that powers the propeller. The armament includes a 20mm nose cannon and four .50 caliber machine guns. American pilots hated this airplane. The Russians bought most of them which were used as `tank busters`.
