Dubrovitzy: Church of the Virgin of the Sign (1704) Boris A. Golitsyn, mentor of the future emperor Peter I, began building a church of white stone named in honor of the Sign of Holy Maria in 1690-1698. In 1704 after Orthodox church received a new head, Stephan, the temple was consecrated in presence of Peter I and his son. This Church is a rare example of Baroque in Russian Sacred architecture.
