The ghetto of Rome, in Italian: Ghetto di Roma, is a ghetto imposed on Jews: on July 14, 1555, Pope Paul IV publishes his bull, Cum nimis absurdum, in which he imposes religious and economic restrictions on Jews and created the ghetto, which continues to exist until 1870. It is created in the rione Sant`Angelo in Rome in Italy and is located near the Tiber and the theater of Marcellus.
