Pictured is an oil on canvas painting titled Bust by Pablo Picasso in 1907-1908 on display in the Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas, Texas. Picasso was born in Spain in 1881 an died in France in 1973. Picasso made this painting of a simplified female figure at a crucial crossroads in his early career that would eventually lead to him and his friend Georges Braque developing the groundbreaking aesthetic Cubism.
