Fouquieria splendens is a plant indigenous to the Sonoran Desert and Chihuahuan Desert and Colorado Desert in the Southwestern United States,and northern Mexico. While this semi-succulent desert plant is often referred to as a cactus,the Ocotillo is more closely related to the tea plant and blueberries than cacti.
