Novi Sad is the capital of the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina and is the second largest city in Serbia, after Belgrade. Founded in 1694, Novi Sad was an important cultural and merchant centre. Pictured here is the Roman Catholic Cathedral - The Name of Mary Church - which dominates the city centre.
