Newgrange is located in the county of Meath, Ireland, less than 30 km from, and connected to by the famous Boyne River, the Hill of Tara. A corridor door, located in the centre of the monument, opens to a room with a cruciform floor, is closed at the top by successive rows of stones many stones, which form a false vault, sealed with clay and small carved pebbles. The latest data obtained from the Newgrange indicates that the gigantic burial mound next to the corridor that leads to the chamber was built there by 3,200 BC.
