The colossal statues on the top of Mountain of Nemrut in the north-east of Adiyaman is the tomb of the Commagene King Antiochus I (69-38 B.C.), dedicated to his own glory and that of the gods. This ancient tomb is accepted as the 8th wonder of the world and UNESCO world heritage site.
