Near El Padul in Andalusia, Spain lies the lagoon of the Ecrin Valley. Most of it is farmland and about 60 hectares are under water and covered with vegetation. Due to its ecological importance, it is classified as a Special Area of ​​Conservation for Birds ZEPA, a protected area of ​​the Sierra Nevada National Park, and a wetland of international importance.
