ID 32979361 © Cinderhill | Megapixl.com

A symbolic representation of the Navajo sun, inspired by Navajo sandpaintings. This type of permanent sandpainting appeared for the first time in the 1950s. Pollen boy stands in the sun's face. The sun is adorned with rainbows, feathers and turquoise earrings. Sandpaintings in their original form are used by the Navajos to heal patients. The permanent contemporary ones are also sold at Trading Posts to collectors and tourists.
