Actress, comedian, and director Nancy Walker is photographed in Los Angeles in 1980. Walker appeared on stage, screen, and television, where she received a Primetime Emmy nomination. She was perhaps most widely known for portraying the role of `Ida Morgenstern,` mother of the `Rhoda Morgenstern` character on both the `Mary Tyler Moore Show` and its spinoff, `Rhoda.` in the 1970s. Walker died in Los Angeles on March 25, 1992, at the age of 69 from lung cancer.
