Myrtos is comprised of pretty, rounded limestone sand and pebbles of all sizes. Just find a patch to suit! Myrtos is the most famous beach on Kefalonia (Cephalonia) and has been voted one of Europe's most beautiful. The beach is a huge sweep of white limestone set a kilometre down from the road, it really is breathtaking. Waves come crashing onto the shore turning the waters edge a milky turquoise. Myrtos is a beach of extra large proportions being a deep and wide bay. Although it is beautiful from the waters edge, its best vantage point is from the road above to the north.
