5.15 am and fishing boat FH690 Peter John II has just started its engine. It will soon be coasting into Carrick Roads out past St Mawes and Falmouth to the sea. St Mawes Castle and Pendennis Castle looking on.The harbour has a watersports centre, a small fishing harbour and a modern marina for yachts and motor boats. The cafe and restaurant provide outside seating areas with wonderful views over to the Roseland Peninsula. Taken at dawn on the last day of August.
