Joal-Fadiouth is a town in the Thiès Region at the southern end of the Petite Côte of Senegal. It is a small town composed by two twin villages, Joal and Fadiotuh. One of its most beautiful spots is the mixed Muslim-Christian graveyard, built on an island largely made by shells. The old baobab trees give the place a particular and very peaceful atmosphere. The small island cemetery is sorrounded by mangroves.
