The Muscovy duck, Cairina moschata, is actually native to an area of today's Columbia, known as Muisca, and not any part of Russia. Although they can mate on land, they generally mate in water, with the larger male forcing the female under the water. As seen in Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park on 9 February 2022.
