The glyptothek is the oldest museum in munich, one of the most famous buildings in neo-classical style in Germany, built 1816-1830 from Leo von Klenze in order of King Ludwig I. The kingsplace - koenigsplatz - was used during the national socialistic time as parade square and is since 1988 rebuilt to the original neo-classical concept
