Mount Bakers volcanic peak and glaciers tower over the North Cascades Mountain Range in Washington State. The slopes gather more snow each winter than anywhere else on earth, offering great skiing. From a ferry, plying the waters north of the Straits of Juan de Fuca among the San Juan Islands, the traveling photographers camera must capture the scenes quickly as they slide by. The views are ever-changing and beautiful, regardless of the weather. This photo caught the wonderful blue sky and sunlit sparkles from sea level to the 10,781 ft summit.
