The Kamchiya River is formed by the confluence of the Golyama Kamchiya left branch and Luda Kamchiya right branch rivers at 26 meters above sea level. Along its valley runs the border between the Danube Plain and the Pre-Balkans. The estuarine parts of the valley are swampy and overgrown with longose forests.
