Pictured is mosaic in one of the four barrel vaults around the central dome of the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna, Italy. A couple of apostles are raising their hands and two doves are drinking water at a kantharos. The mausoleum was commissioned in the first half of the 5th century AD by empress Galla Placidia. Beautiful mosaics fill every part of the interior. It is a UNESCO World Heritage monument since 1996.
