Monument to the army commanders in the Battle of Kursk (Rotmistrov P.A. (5th Guards Tank Army) Kryuchenkin V.D. (69th Army) Zhadov A.S. (5th Guards Army)) The Prokhorovskoe Pole Museum-Reserve is a multifunctional complex that unites various objects that serve to perpetuate and popularize the feat accomplished during the Great Patriotic War. On July 12 1943 one of the largest tank battles in the history of tank battles took place in the Prokhorovka field area. The Prokhorovskoye field as a place of battle is the third military field in Russia after the Kulikov field and Borodinsky field.
