The F-22 `Raptor` English: Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is the world`s first mass-produced fifth-generation stealth fighter, a single-seat twin-engine design. Mainly as an air superiority fighter to ensure air superiority in the theater, with additional tasks including ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence [6]. The F-22 has been in service with the U.S. Air Force since 2005, replacing the previous generation`s mainstay F-15 fighter. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for most of the airframe design, weapon systems and final assembly of the F-22. Program partner Boeing Defense Space Security provides the wings, aft fuselage, avionics complex and training systems.
