Pictured is a memorial fountain in the middle of Turtle Creek that was presented to the City of Dallas by the Southern Memorial Association on March twenty-second, 1970 as a memorial to southern heroes of all wars. It stands next to a later plaque marking the dedication of the memorial in 1993. The fountain shoots twenty feet into the air and covers 40 feet on landing.
