I always love the emergence of these mayapple plants. To me it shows that summer is almost on it's way. As it's name implies, these usually come around in the month of May. This one caught my eye due to the different shades of green it had. The lighter greens with the darker greens just looked really pretty. This picture was taken on Monocacy hill, outside of Reading in Pennsylvania.
