Marktstrasse is a street in the old town of Erfurt and connects the cathedral square in the west with the fish market in the east over a length of 230 meters. Marktstrasse has only borne its name since 1826. When it was first mentioned in 1223, it was simply called lata platea Erphordie - the street of Erfurt. July 8th, 2021
