Pictured is a white marble sculpture on a stone pedestal of Saint Joseph outside St. Cecilia Cathedral Grade School in Omaha. Joseph was a 1st-century Jewish man of Nazareth who, according to the canonical Gospels, was married to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and was the legal father of Jesus. He is venerated as Saint Joseph in the Catholic Church and was declared the patron saint and the protector of the Catholic Church by Pope Pius IX. The creator of the sculpture is not identified.
