Potsdam, Germany - September 2, 2012: View at the classicist style 18th century Marble Palace, situated in the Neuer Garten park in Potsdam, Germany. The Marble Palace (Marmorpalais), designed by Carl von Gontard and Carl Gotthard Langhans, was a royal residence commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia. The name of the palace comes from the Silesian marble used in the building. The palace belongs to the group of buildings listed as the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
