ID 300446229 © Novydrifqy | Megapixl.com

This plant has striking characteristics in the form of large, woody supporting roots, shoots covered with tapering supporting leaves, and fruit that germinates and takes root while still on a viviparous tree. Mangrove wood has good uses as building material, firewood, and especially as an ingredient for making charcoal. The bark produces tannin which is used as a tanning agent. We usually find it on the beach.
