Entrance to the mansion on Heart Island, Alexandria Bay, New York. To the right, the structure that looks like a castle tower is a pigeon roost. These buildings were built by George Boldt as a present for his wife. When she died, the structures were left to decay for 70 years. The Thousand Island Bridge Authority, a government agency, now owns the property.E
