The Templo de Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple near Plaza de España, Madrid. It dates from the 4th century BC to honor the gods Amon and Isis. It was brought to Madrid in 1971 as a gift from Egypt to Spain, to save this historic monuments from flooding under the Aswan Dam project. This is one of the few ancient Egyptian architecture which can be seen outside Egypt and the only one of its kind in Spain.
