Since Macy’s sparked the Christmas window tradition in the early 1870s, New York City’s most iconic department store has unveiled bigger and better window displays each holiday season. During peak hours, more than 10,000 people pass the Herald Square window display which changes every year. The holiday windows can be viewed from Thanksgiving week each November to December 26.
