Lotus seedpod close-upnlotus seedpod, also known as lotus house, is an inverted cone-shaped spongy receptacle that contains the pistils of lotus. The surface of the torus has many scattered honeycomb-shaped holes, which gradually expand after fertilization and are called lotus. There is a small nut in each hole, which is a lotus seed, and a lotus core grows in the middle of the lotus seed, which can be used for medicinal purposes and reduce fire. The fruit ripening period is September to October.
