The beetle's body is elongated and cylindrical,with distinct dark and light brown stripes running along its back. Its antennae are exceptionally long and extend well beyond the length of its body. The beetle's large compound eyes are visible on either side of its head,as well as its mandibles and maxillae,which are used for biting and chewing.
