For the past 60 plus years when you saw this sign on the way up to go skiing in the San Bernardino Mountains from Los Angeles or Orange County, you knew you were almost there. Many a tired traveler has also stopped here on the way back down to metropolis. This restaurant was popular with visitor and local alike. Unfortunately the last few years the restaurant has changed hands a few times since the original owner passed away, but the historic building and sign are still here. It was an important community gathering center for many local organizations. In the small community of Running Springs everybody new where Lloyd`s restaurant was. During snow/ski season this place was packed everyday with hungry travelers in for their famous food and coffee.
