Multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda hugs fellow victor Cynthia Erivo in the Winners Media Room at the JCC on Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street in Manhattan, a block from the Beacon Theater, site of the 70th Annual Tony Awards on June 12, 2016. Manuel, a nominated actor, was the driving force behind the blockbuster musical hit, Hamilton, and won for Best Original Score Written for the Theatre. Erivo won for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her role in a revival of The Color Purple. Tony participants each wore a ribbon to show solidarity for the victims and their families of the massacre in Orlando which happened earlier in the day.
